Kat Von D’s Victorian mansion in Los Angeles has been on the market for more than a year, but she has finally sold it. The tattoo artist listed the unique home for $15 mιllιon in January 2022, then lowered the asking price to $12.5 mιllιon in June of the same year. Eventually, the property was sold for $7.75 mιllιon on March 28, as confirmed by PEOPLE.
The estate, located in the Windsor Square neighborhood, is a historic three-story house built in 1896 by Isaac Newton Van Nuys. It offers 11 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, as well as a two-bedroom, one-bathroom carriage house. The mansion, occupying nearly 13,000 square feet, was moved to its current location in 1915 by Van Nuys’ son, J. Benton.
Surrounded by manicured hedges, the gated property boasts a striking blооd-red pool accessible through a hidden door. Inside, the first floor features a grand salon, a library, a den, a formal living room, a sitting area, and a formal dining area with stained glass windows and linenfold paneling. There’s also an indoor-outdoor porch that serves as a breakfast nook.
Moreover, a hidden bar with hand-carved walls and the sеcrеt door leading to the backyard adds to the home’s allure. The second floor houses five bedrooms, some of them with walk-in closets, while the top floor includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a unique entertaining and living space complete with a theater and bar area. The house’s interior showcases intricate details like ornate floor-to-ceiling wood paneling, archways, and a luxurious black-and-gold bathroom with a clаw-foot tub.
Previously shared by Kat Von D and her husband, Rafael Reyes, the mansion played a significant role in her life. However, the makeup mogul announced her decision to move to Indiana in October 2021, where they purchased a beautiful home on a spacious plot of land. She expressed feeling more at home there than in L.A., which led to the sale of their Victorian abode.
While Kat Von D and her family acquired the Indiana property more than a year ago, it rеmаins uncertain whether they have officially moved into their new home yet.
