Ten years after it was initially put up for sale, Michael Jordan’s home is still for sale

Michael Jordan’s house, located outside of Chicago in Highland Park, has been on the market for close to a decade. Here are some details about this iconic property:

Michael Jordan purchased the property in 1991 for $2 million, and he and his then-wife, Juanita Vanoy, invested heavily in customizing and upgrading the 9-bedroom home.

The property includes a 7-acre estate that has been Michael Jordan’s home since he won his first of six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.

The house is a massive 56,000-square-foot mansion custom-built by Jordan himself over the course of four years, finishing construction in 1995.

It features 9 bedrooms, 14 parking spaces, five fireplaces, large skylights, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a movie theater, a regulation-sized basketball gym, a circular infinity pool, a putting green, a tennis court, and a cigar room.

The property also includes a three-bedroom guesthouse.

Despite its price tag of $14.8 million, the property offers luxurious amenities and has been fitted with every conceivable luxury amenity.

The house is part of basketball history and served as the location of Michael Jordan’s Breakfast Club, where he and fellow Chicago Bulls teammates would practice together before regular practice sessions.

Derrick Rose, another NBA star, was inspired by his visit to Michael Jordan’s house during high school and credits it with motivating him to succeed in his basketball career.

The property has lingered on the market for a long time due to its high price point and extensive customization, which may not align with the preferences of potential buyers.

While Michael Jordan’s house has yet to find the right buyer, it remains an iconic piece of basketball history and a symbol of luxury living.
