Forget Jeff Bezos! This Russian billionaire is the owner of the largest, most expensive yacht

There has been much fanfare since Jeff Bezos’ megayacht Koru embarked on her maiden trip, with claims that the Ocenaco beauty was the biggest sailing yacht in the world. Although it is a magnificent and enormous schooner, the $600 mιllιon Sᴜper Yacht A owned by a Russian tycoon still holds the title of the largest sailing sᴜperyacht in the world.

The sailing yacht A owned by Andrey Melnichenko is unbeaten and has towering masts that are bigger than Big Ben in London. Bezos’s recreational vessel is 416 feet long, while Sailing Yacht A is 468 feet long, a difference of more than 50 feet.

The amazing megayacht stands out not just for the grandeur of her 300-foot masts or her long silhouette, but for the entire combination of design, engineering, and wealth that combine to create a floating behemoth.

The eight-deck vessel is covered in steel and sеcrеcy and resembles an overstuffed, gigantic tin can. Thanks to the 24 shell doors that are located in the hull, there is more than enough room on board to take a breath.

With a staggering 81 feet of beam and a total tonnage of 12,558 tons, the ship is definitely enormous. An in-boom furling system, which Bezos’s Koru lacked and which even landed in hot water, may be used to manage the sails that tower higher than the Tower of London and Big Ben.

A sailing boat A has a competent crew of 54 working in 40 guest cabins that can accommodate 20 visitors. Project Director Dirk Kloosterman referred to the boat, a hybrid diesel-electric system with controllable pitch propellers, as the most difficult job of his professional life. Multiple elevators and freely floating spiral stairs are available for navigating the eight-decker. A touch-and-go helipad is located in the bow, and there are a number of garages for tenders and even a submarine.

The most amazing feature of this floating monster is the one that takes up the least amount of room: the bizarre underwater viewing capsule that is integrated into the keel and provides a view of the propellers. With a range of 6,500 nautical miles, the yacht can travel at a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 19.5 knots.
