Shakira splurged on $70,000,000 mansion and often invited friends to party all night

How much does privacy cost? In Miami’s wealthy Coral Gables district, a property in a gated community and on a privately owned cul-de-sac is currently listed for sale for $69.9 mιllιon. This resort also has ties to some well-known pop music icons, like Shakira, Marc Anthony, Romeo Santos, and Emilio Estefan, all of whom have visited Alarcón at some point or another.

The strongest selling feature, though, is exclusivity, according to Delgado. As if living in Coral Gables wasn’t already secluded enough, the house is situated on a peninsula lot with water on three sides.

The 9401 Journey’s End Road property, which is represented by Saddy Abaunza Delgado and Valeria Kelly with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and is owned by radio industry tycoon Ral Alarcón, was mentioned this month in the Wall Street Journal.

Although the sale of the home might not set a Miami sales record, it is now one of the most expensive listings in Coral Gables. It would establish a record for the neighborhood if it sells for the asking price.

The waterfront seven- or eight-bedroom, 11,800 square foot, Tuscan villa-style home is situated on a 2-acre site with around 500 feet of canal frontage that leads to Biscayne Bay.

A big kitchen with marble floors and counters, a butler’s pantry, and an adjacent breakfast room are all features of the ground floor layout of this 2003 construction. A formal living room, a light-filled formal dining room, and a family room are all present.

The 12-seat home theater on the ground floor, which has a panoramic screen and theater-caliber audio/visual equipment, is another benefit. The second floor has a stand-alone spa with a steam room, a sauna, a hot tub, a massage area, and a powder room in addition to four bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, including a sizable master suite.

The terraced grounds, which are designed with a typical Italian-style center courtyard, also feature a coral rock-encircled pool, a half-basketball court, a covered gazebo with hurricane-impact windows and air conditioning, and the private marina. The media room, the outside areas, and the gazebo, according to Alarcón, are where he has welcomed these A-list celebrities, frequently to preview their impending releases.
