Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and his wife, TV star Pilar Rubio, are having a lavish, 12m-euro home built on the outskirts of the Spanish capital

Television cameras have provided a sneak peek into the opulent mansion being constructed for Real Madrid’s iconic captain, Sergio Ramos, and his family on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain.

Ramos and his wife, TV presenter Pilar Rubio, are investing a staggering 12 million euros into building their lavish 1,500-square-meter residence. The property is situated on a 12,000-square-meter estate that the couple acquired in 2017.

Until now, the construction’s progress had been shrouded in secrecy. However, this week, the Spanish TV program ‘Ya es mediodía’ managed to capture images of the exterior of the mansion as it takes shape.

Located in the upscale La Moraleja neighborhood, a favored choice among footballers in Madrid, the mansion appears to be following a contemporary, modular design. It is set to feature the latest advancements in home technology.

To ensure their privacy, Ramos and Rubio, who are currently expecting their fourth child, are constructing high walls around the property. They are also building the house at a slightly lower level than its surrounding structures.

Ramos, aged 33, is reportedly closely monitoring the mansion’s construction progress. A worker at the site mentioned, “He comes almost every day to see how his house is coming along.”

Previously, Ramos and Rubio resided in a 970-square-meter home, also in La Moraleja, which was formerly occupied by former Real Madrid star Ronaldo Nazário.
