Giants’ Saquon Barkley buys $13M luxury penthouse in the city that never sleeps

Saquon Barkley, a 21-year-old rookie for the New York Giants, has been rather busy lately. In between signing his contract and finding a place to call home, the No. 2 overall draft pick is getting ready for his first season in a professional uniform, which includes rookie minicamp, OTAs, and mandatory minicamp. Where does a rookie who has high expectations from his fan base start his search? What about a $13 million penthouse in the 24/7 city?

Barkley was present at a reception recently to celebrate the launch of PH51, the Financial District penthouse situated on the 51st floor of the Beekman Residences.

The 3,554-square-foot home was put up for $12,995,000 on June 14 with Douglas Elliman. With three walk-in closets and a five-piece master bathroom including limestone walls and vanities, a walk-in steam shower, a large freestanding soaking tub, and marble radiant heated floors, PH51 offers three bedrooms and three and a half baths.

The whole 51st level features walls of glass enclosing 16-foot ceilings with spectacular city vistas. An eat-in chef’s kitchen with a full-height wine refrigerator, a marble fireplace, a 50-foot-long great room with floor to ceiling windows, a laundry room, and direct access to a 155-square-foot private terrace with a glass floor that offers views of the city below are among the other opulent features.

A rooftop garden, trellis lounge, fitness center, movie room, private dining area with chef’s table, and residents terrace are among the residential features. The Beekman Black Card is an additional upscale convenience that offers direct access to a customized house account, on-site hotel amenities, and a personal concierge. In addition, the Black Card offers priority bookings for The Beekman restaurants, which are managed by Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally, as well as room service from Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court.
