Kim Kardashian models the stunning 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero

The reality star is promoting her latest project as a shapewear designer, spokesperson, and model on all her social media accounts. Kim is also using an eye-catching car to draw attention, but unlike Yeezus, she’s using it as a modeling prop.

Kim announced late last week that her latest Skims ad would feature the stunning 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero, which she had admired two years earlier. She sells shapewear and underwear under the Skims. Kim said dreams come true because she finally got to see the car.

It didn’t she drove it. She posed for photos reclined on it (and on top of it) because apparently even the rich and famous cannot access some things. Kim’s initial tweet and a Skims photoshoot video are at the bottom. Kim took her trusted army boots and a new wig to the desert, and the Lancia’s futuristic and lines fit perfectly. Another thing Kardashian probably owes Kanye is a love of post-apocalyptic rides and fashion.

However, this Lancia a great car after all these years. Designed by Marcello Gandini and introduced at the 1970 Turin Motor Show as Stratoslimite (“limit of the stratosphere”), the HF Zero has a 115-horsepower Fulvia V4 engine. At 33 inches tall, its body sits low to the ground and lacks doors. Its windshield opens to allow cabin access. Avril Lavigne smiles awkwardly in the passenger seat of the HF Zero at the 2018 Villa d’Este concours in a video at the bottom of the page.
