Plus a lavish mansion worth $11.3M by Will Smith

At least eight houses are scattered nationwide. The Pinkett Smiths, a prominent entertainment couple, recently purchased a $11.3M property in Hidden Hills, a guard-gated neighborhood also home to Drake, Kaley Cuoco, Kylie Jenner, and Jeffree Star.

The ad calls the two-story home a “Napa Modern” residence with over 10,000 square feet of interior area. It was built last year on speculative land. The Smiths bought the property for $1M less than the initial $12.2 Mn asking price. Since June of last year, the speculatively built estate has been up for sale.

At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac behind a long driveway, the 1.2-acre property faces a large chunk of the San Fernando Valley from a ridge.

Modern elements of the all-neutral interiors include a double-height entryway with sightlines across the home, an open kitchen with two islands and a spacious pantry, a soundproof movie theater with velvet walls, and a game room with a wet bar. A gym with a steam shower, a formal dining room with a glass-enclosed wine cabinet, and more are available.

The upstairs main suite has a fireplace, sitting space, two dressing rooms, a built-in refrigerator, and a coffee bar. All six bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Outdoor entertaining is great with stone loggias that open to a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ and an infinity-edged pool with a Jacuzzi.

The backyard has a full-size sports court, campfire seating, and a “serenity lounge.” The mansion is surrounded by only a few trees, with no grassy yard or landscaping. But that should save the Smiths money on maintenance.

The new owners will likely employ an interior designer to modernize the home’s lavish rooms. The couple’s $42M mega-estate in Calabasas, their principal property for years, was featured in Architectural Digest for its Moroccan-inspired décor, rich colors, and unique furniture.
