Floyd Mayweather bought a Miami beach villa for $18M just to relax comfortably with his girlfriend

Retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has made a punchy move in the Miami Beach real estate arena with his recent acquisition of an $18M waterfront mansion. Situated on the prestigious and secure Palm Island, this contemporary three-story residence spans over 10,000 square feet and offers unparalleled views of the city skyline, cruise ships gliding by, and the coveted Miami sunset.

Mayweather, known for his unprecedented earnings in the world of sports, was named Forbes’ highest-paid athlete of the decade in 2019, raking in an astounding $915M over ten years. He made this latest purchаse through a Nevada-based limited liability company under his management, as indicated in property records.

The luxurious nine-bedroom mansion is designed for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment, featuring sleek, neutral interiors. Among its impressive amenities are an indoor movie theater, a well-equipped gym, a game room, a spacious entertainment area, advanced smart-home systems, and a convenient elevator. The property also boasts a rooftop deck, a refreshing pool, a four-car garage, and a private dock capable of accommodating boats up to 100 feet in length.

Represented by Tanasha Pettigrew of Galleria International Realty, this acquisition adds to Mayweather’s already impressive real estate portfolio, which includes a lavish Las Vegas mansion purchased in 2018 for $10M and a French Modern-style estate in Beverly Hills acquired in 2017 for $26M.

Floyd Mayweather Jr., who achieved a bronze medal at the 1996 Olympics as a featherweight, retired from professional boxing in August 2017 with an undefeated record. Mayweather’s representative has not responded to requests for comments regarding his latest real estate acquisition.
