Tyler Perry’s former mansion in Atlanta, known as the most expensive home in Georgia, has been listed at a price of $25M. The lavish estate, situated at 4110 Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta, features a 17-acre property with a grandeur inspired by French Provincial architecture. With a colossal living space of nearly 35,000 square feet, the mansion boasts opulent indoor and outdoor pools, along with an underground ballroom reminiscent of France’s Palace of Versailles.
Back in 2007, Tyler Perry made headlines by setting a record for Atlanta’s priciest residential sale when he sold this masterpiece of French palace-inspired design. Interestingly, despite this remarkable history, the mansion is once again on the market for $25M. Perry had previously sold the Buckhead Mansion for $17.5M.
However, circumstances have shifted for the current owner, David Turner, an international businessman and televangelist associated with David Turner International Ministries. Turner, once the CEO of Suntree Holdings LLC in Phoenix, gained substantial wealth and acquired the property. Regrettably, due to commitments tied to his ministry, Turner and his family must part ways with the breathtaking Buckhead estate.
Turner expressed deep affection for the property, stating, “This is the most beautiful property I have ever laid eyes on. We’ve had a wonderful time living here and will be devastated to leave one day. We must, however, follow our faith, and our faith is guiding us in a different direction.”
The gated estate, adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, offers a multitude of luxurious amenities. These include a brand-new infinity-edge swimming pool spanning 70,000 gallons, a lit tennis court, a home theater, an indoor resistance pool, a wine cellar, exquisite formal and informal gardens, an estate generator, a guard house, and a caretaker’s suite. Ensuring security, the property is equipped with an advanced security system.
In addition to the main house’s expansive 35,000 square feet, there is a separate guest house. Notably, the mansion’s dimensions exclude its hidden gem – an underground ballroom paired with a catering kitchen.
Chase Mizell from Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, collaborating with Josh Reeves, served as the co-listing agent. Mizell and Reeves played roles in the previous 2016 sale of the property, representing both the buyer and the seller during that transaction.
