In the realm of home design, Kylie Jenner embraces a philosophy of simplicity.
Meridith Baer, a renowned home stager and the founder of Meridith Baer Home, discussed her experience staging a sprawling 9,680-square-foot Beverly Hills residence for Jenner. The property was acquired by Jenner in collaboration with Travis Scott in 2018 for $13.5 million and subsequently listed for sale at $21.9 million in October.
“We aimed to reflect Kylie’s fondness for blush and nuԀe shades that she incorporates in her skincare line,” Baer shared. “The overall style can be best described as organic modern. Much of the furniture exudes a very natural, serene, and uncomplicated vibe. Simultaneously, we incorporated striking, daring art pieces and an array of distinct pottery.”
Baer, who has previously worked on homes for various members of Kylie’s family, including older sister Kim Kardashian, noted that Jenner afforded her the most creative freedom.
“What’s intriguing is that they didn’t impose directives on us. We discerned her personal taste and preferences. The colors and styles she resonates with were our guide, making it a tribute to her essence,” Baer explained.
The residence, featuring seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms, is adorned with “subtle, soothing, and refined” elements, Baer described.
“Despite her own glamorous persona, she gravitates towards the aesthetics of simplicity. Ensuring the house didn’t feel staged was vital to us,” Baer clarified. “Our hallmark is creating a hоmey atmosphere rather than a staged one.”
Notably, Baer had previously staged the same house for its previous owners, prior to Jenner and Scott’s acquisition.
“Back then, we were directed to infuse it with glam,” she recollected. “[Kylie] purchased it and then, of her own accord, transformed it into a cozy, warm, and captivating ambiance.”
In addition to the incorporation of natural accents, the rooms are enriched with lavish details evident in features like the deep-toned curtains and black coffee tables. Baer particularly appreciated the living room with its dark walls, describing it as “moody.”
“Each room possesses its own unique character, and I must sаy, I’m quite fond of the ambiance of the entire house,” Baer commented.
She added, “I could very well envision myself living in this home. It radiates comfort, tranquility, and an inviting aura without ostentation.”
Situated behind a gated driveway in an upscale neighborhood, the property was listed four years after Jenner and Scott’s joint purchаse. Occupying 1.1 acres, it boasts views of the Los Angeles skyline.
The residence boasts open spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows, imported stone, oak flooring, and contrasting accents.
Expansive sliding glass doors lead to a serene backyard featuring a meticulously landscaped garden, a resort-style pool, spa, built-in barbecue, and a relaxation area. Additionally, there is a guest house and a three-car garage.
Jenner and Scott shared the home’s expenses after welcoming their first child, daughter Stormi Webster, in February 2018. They welcomed a baby boy in February of the subsequent year.
A source previously shared with PEOPLE: “Kylie and Travis’s new Beverly Hills house is spectacular. It’s contemporary, yet exudes warmth. The property also offers a high degree of privacy.”
The insider added, “Kylie is a shrewd negotiator and an astute businesswoman. She desired the house and secured a favorable deal. She acquired it alongside Travis. While primarily an investment, it appears they intend to make it their residence as well.”
