Chris Hemsworth’s house is as beautiful as a pearl’s eye in Byron Bay

Since the 1960s, surfers and other members of the counterculture have flocked to the town because of its ideal location on the coast of northern New South Wales and its proximity to the border with Queensland, which is reached within an hour by car.

People who love to surf and hippies aren’t the only ones who call this place home these days.

Chris Hemsworth is widely regarded as the person who is largely responsible for Byron’s meteoric rise to prominence in the world of international tourism.

The once sleepy region has become an established landmark on the map of international tourist.

The Hollywood hottie recognizes that there is no place quite like home, despite the fact that he has become Australia’s most successful performing export and has earned zillions of dollars for his blockbuster portrayal as Thor in the different Marvel movies.

Especially when home is a pad that cost thirty M dollars and is located right next to the beach. Now, Chris and his brother Liam have joined their individual holdings together to create a massive tract of property that they have dubbed “Hemsworth Hills.”

When Chris Hemsworth moved his family from Los Angeles to Byron in 2014, it was the first step in what would become one of the most significant real estate holdings in the city.

After owning a property near Broken Head that year for the sum of $7M, he and his wife Elsa Pataky proceeded to demolish the eight-bedroom Balinese-style home that was already on the property and construct a mega-mansion in its place.

The 4.2-hectare architecturally planned estate, which began building in 2017, took a couple years to finish and currently features six bedrooms, a movie room, gym, spa, and games area in addition to expansive outdoor living and play spaces.

It was projected that the installation of the 50-meter rooftop infinity pool alone would have cost at least $400,000. On top of that, the couple reportedly spent an additional $110,000 to install a bowling alley with two lanes.

The Hollywood couple also owns another 35-hectare property in Byron, which is in the process of being developed at the moment. This adds to the surplus.

According to rumors, the couple want to construct a brand-new residence on the parcel of property, which is less than one kilometer away from their existing mega-mansion.

They paid $4.25M for the lovely parcel back in 2019, but the property is now valued at $10M according to estimates.

The actor’s brothers, Liam and Luke, have also owned other properties in the Northern Rivers region.

In the year 2020, the star of the Hunger Games franchise, Liam, invested $6.8M in the own of a home in the community of Newrybar.

The enormous 37.5 hectare property, which was formerly used as a wedding venue, comprises two separate wings, each of which contains five bedrooms, and four bathrooms.

The entire structure is designed around a swimming pool, tropical gardens, and a lawn bowls area.
