On Tuesday, a bright and airy mansion with six bedrooms that was built in 1981 by NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson in Moraga Estates, a gated enclave in the affluent neighborhood of Bel Air in Los Angeles, was listed for sale with an asking price of $14.5M.
According to marketing materials provided by Compass agent Nancy Ellin, who is both the seller and the listed agent for the property, the home has more than 10,000 square feet of space and was custom-designed to meet the requirements of Mr. Johnson, a legendary point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and an activist.
According to the listing for the property, there are still the signatures of “many notable NBA players” affixed to the walls of the home’s locker room, which is also equipped with a big indoor basketball court. Guests can view the action on the court below through glass windows located in the media room located on the higher level.
It was reported by representatives from Compass that Mr. Johnson resided there until the year 1990. In 2004, Ms. Ellin paid a total price of $4.4M to acquire the property.
