Bono spends more than 20M euros owning a yacht to go fishing with friends

Why ought a globally recognized rock artist to be forced to go without a magnificent superyacht? It’s safe to say that Bono is a star who totally loves the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

Bono will be the first to admit this. After having spent some time on it with his family the previous summer, the figurehead of U2 splashed out on a sleek 43-meter motor boat called Cyan in 2008.

Although the musician’s exact own price for his yacht has not been made public, industry conjecture places it somewhere around €20M, and that’s before taking into account any post-buy upgrades.

The yacht owned by Bono includes six sizeable staterooms, making it possible to host a total of 12 people in a relaxed and comfortable manner.

Each and every cabin is outfitted with a satellite TV and plasma screen television. The yacht’s interior is exquisitely crafted and lined with high-quality oak and mahogany, and it features opulent furnishings and fittings.

In addition, there is a fully-equipped gymnasium and a baby grand piano located within the indoor communal space.

The large deck has a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, an outdoor movie theater with a screen that is three meters in size, and a storage room for a variety of ‘toys’ for water sports such as tenders, Seabobs, and Waverunners.

In the event that this does not provide sufficient amusement, the yacht also has fishing equipment, snorkeling equipment, and a kite-surfer on board.

Bono gave the Cyan an individualized touch by painting it blue and having a high-end, custom stereo system installed in it. This was his contribution to the band.
