Steven Spielberg said goodbye to the natural wooden villa listed for $6.39M

A new owner is needed for a sprawling California compound that has a history that includes a number of famous people.

Douglas Fairbanks Jr., the silent cinema star who originated the roles of “Zorro” and “Robin Hood,” formerly called this house in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, his home. Not only does this property count legendary film director Steven Spielberg as a neighbor, but it was also Douglas Fairbanks Jr.’s home.

This information was provided to The Post by The Agency, whose Rawley Valverde, Adam Rosenfeld, and Jon Grauman are the listing agents for the property, which is currently listed for $6.39M.

Located in the mountainous Palisades Riviera neighborhood, this corner lot mansion features four bedrooms and is set amid a half acre of picturesque vegetation. It is sometimes referred  “Wildwood.”

Peg and oak flooring, as well as recently refurbished wood woodwork, distinguish the interior of this property that spans four levels and totals 3,992 square feet. Two of the rooms at the inn have stone fireplaces that stretch from floor to ceiling, creating the ambience of a mountain lodge.

However, one glance outside is all it takes to be whisked away from the slopes and into the thick vegetation reminiscent of Spielberg’s own “Jurassic Park.” The tiled backsplash in the kitchen was crafted by a local Pasadena artist. The kitchen also features Silestone countertops, and it is open to the living room and the dining area.
