There are very few people that can compete with Jay Leno’s automobile collection.
After his time as host of the “Tonight Show” came to an end after 20 years, comedy great Jay Leno shifted his focus to a web series that was produced by NBC and titled “Jay Leno’s Garage.”
His NBC-produced online series on the contents of Leno’s Big Dog Garage has become one of the most popular shows on Youtube. The garage is housed in a series of big hangars at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California. Leno’s Big Dog Garage has become such a phenomenon that the series was developed.
Because of the overwhelming response to the web series, Jay Leno decided to make his way back to television in 2015 with an enlarged version of the show that aired on CNBC.
CNBC will premiere the second season of “Jay Leno’s Garage” in the summer of this year.
Leno’s collection, which is estimated to include more than 150 automobiles and motorcycles, features vehicles that are used on a daily basis in addition to those that would be worthy of display at the Smithsonian.
Leno and a small staff of mechanics are responsible for restoring and maintaining the majority of the vehicles. Even more incredible is the fact that every vehicle in the garage possesses a valid license and is lawful to use.
