Despite its outdated exterior design, Gal Gadot’s $5 million Malibu beach house still has its own charm

Gal Gadot, star of “Wonder Woman 1984,” bought a $5M 1984 Malibu beach mansion. Coincidence, right?

Gal Gadot owns Israel and Hollywood hills homes with her husband, real estate mogul Yaron Varson.

Due to its position between Nobu and Malibu Pier and modern architecture, her oceanfront Malibu property, which she bought as a vacation house, made headlines. Its scenery outshines its outmoded design.

Former Miss Universe Bui Simon sold her the house. Before marrying billionaire real estate developer and Indiana Pacers owner Herbert Simon, Bui acquired the property for $850,000 in 1994.

Her original investment yielded $4M. Chris Cortazzo of Compass handled both sides of her $2,500-per-square-foot contract with Gadot. Even in 2020, $5M for a condo is a lot, but this one is special.

The penthouse in a blocky gated development in one of Malibu’s greatest neighborhoods comes with two deeded off-street parking spots. No celebrities own three other similar units in the development.

The roughly 2000-square-foot penthouse features 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms facing the Pacific Ocean and a wall of glass extending onto a tile-floor dining deck above the sand. The condo’s 609 meters of interior space, described as “sensationally private,” with neutral decor, wheat-colored hardwood floors, white walls, skylights, lots of natural light, and a hint of green throughout.

The Gadot penthouse has a step-down living area with a large fireplace and a stunning floor-to-ceiling wall of glass that opens to a massive, tiled balcony with an unobstructed ocean view.

The sleek, white interior contrasts with the water’s bright blue.
