Yes, I am referring to the gold and blue 1958 Continental that we previously displayed in March 2022. Equipped by Stitched by Slick, it has large gold wheels, a significantly lower profile than a typical 1950s land yacht, and an abundance of LED lights. This isn’t the only Continental build I’ve seen, but that’s not what makes it unique.
This Lincoln is distinguished by a contemporary interior that was taken from a Bentley. Indeed, I refer to the entire set-up, encompassing the center console, dashboard, and front seats. Naturally, everything was encased in opulent leather and wood veneer. All of the contemporary technology found in a contemporary Bentley, including the electrically adjustable seats and infotainment screen, was also transplanted.
ridiculous? Not with Snoop Dogg as the owner. Preposterous? Since Bentley also makes a Continental model, the Lincoln’s front fenders still bear the appropriate insignia.
However, if you’re a Ford enthusiast searching for an excuse to lose your mind, you should be aware that this Continental is no longer powered by the 430-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) MEL V8 that it formerly had. The unit was swapped out for a General Motors LS3.
Regardless of Detroit-bred rivalries, I will still sаy that the LS3 is a wonderful update for a classic, so go ahead and get out the tar and feathers.
